Ross has extensive qualifications and experience in civil litigation, insurance law and legal risk management advice.

Over the years Ross has managed various complex and valuable higher court matters, including successful requests for injunctions and special declarations against opponents. He runs litigation in all court jurisdictions but achieves effective alternative dispute resolution outcomes for clients where appropriate.

As a legal advisor, Ross also assists clients in legal risk management and insurance issues. Beneficiaries of Ross’ advice are diverse, including: city councils, national companies, professional associations and SME’s.

Prior to the law, Ross worked as an insurance professional in roles of underwriting, claims and loss adjusting. After a wide-ranging legal career as an employed solicitor, culminating in running a medium sized law firm’s litigation division, Ross established Lee Lawyers - a specialist civil litigation, insurance law and legal risk management firm.

Through providing regular client seminars, Ross keeps up to date with legal developments and since 2001 has been the Insurance chapter author of the Queensland Law Handbook, published by Queensland’s largest community legal organisation: Caxton Legal Centre Inc.

Ross represents the third generation of a Gold Coast small business family, several of whom have had prominent roles in community service. Outside of work, Ross enjoys trekking around the hinterland, savouring the fares of local restaurants and spending time with family and friends.
