Anerys McMahon I Managing Director Born in Havana, Cuba, Anerys had an illustrious international sporting career. Having been a member of the Cuban Senior Rhythmic Gymnastics Team from 1983 to 1985, Anerys was the Havana Province Athlete of the Year from 1980 to 1982.Unfortunately, as a result of Cuba’s boycott of the 1984 L.A. Olympics, Anerys was unable to fulfil her ultimate sporting dream. Upon immigrating to Australia in the late ‘80’s, Anerys became coach of the New South Wales Rhythmic Gymnastics Team and produced a number of national champions. In 1999 she was appointed to the SOCOG Multicultural Committee, upon which she served throughout the Sydney Olympic Games.Anerys was also the liaison officer for the gold medallist Cuban woman’s volleyball team during the Games and an Olympic torch bearer. Following her retirement from coaching, Anerys was involved in sports administration for several years before becoming General Manager of a yacht charter business operating on Sydney Harbour. More recently she was for the past four years the National Administration Manager of a mid tier national law firm. Apart from being the Managing Director, Anerys is the “go to” person in the firm and is responsible for all administrative and accounts enquiries. In fact all non-matter queries can be directed to Anerys.
